I was blown away by how easy it was to install the KTM Lower Lock Plate (JY113021). The instructions were clear, and I didn’t need any prior experience with motorcycle parts. The plate itself is sturdy and feels like it can withstand heavy use. Overall, a great purchase! 4.8/5

I’ve had some issues with the KTM Lower Lock Plate (JY113021) being slightly loose after installation. Is this normal? Should I tighten it further?
Dee Lee –
Thank you for sharing your experience with the KTM Lower Lock Plate (JY113021). We’re sorry to hear that it’s loose after installation, but we’re happy to help you troubleshoot. It’s not uncommon for lock plates to feel slightly loose initially due to the materials used or the installation process. However, if it persists, it may be a sign of improper installation or wear and tear over time. We recommend checking the installation manual again or consulting with a professional mechanic to ensure it’s properly secured. If you’re still unsure, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for further assistance. Our team is here to help you get the most out of your KTM bike.

What’s the best way to ensure this lock plate doesn’t rust? Should I apply some type of lubricant or coating?
Thomas Yap –
Thank you for reaching out, Kathryn! We’re happy to help you with that. To prevent rusting on your KTM Lower Lock Plate (JY113021), we recommend applying a thin layer of lubricant or silicone-based spray. You can also try coating it with clear varnish or clear nail polish for added protection. Just make sure to wipe off any excess residue to avoid attracting dirt and moisture. Additionally, storing the lock plate in a dry place or using a waterproof bag when not in use will also help prevent rusting. We hope this helps!

I’ve been using the KTM Lower Lock Plate (JY113021) for a few months now, and I’m really impressed with its durability. The only minor issue I have is that it’s not as lightweight as I expected. Still, it gets the job done! 4.2/5
