The DP552 has been a fantastic upgrade for my Yamaha model’s brakes. The all-round braking performance is superb, and the low wear rate means I don’t have to worry about replacing them anytime soon. One minor thing I’d like to see improved is the availability of spare pads – it would be great if they were easier to source.

I’ve been using the DP Brakes STANDARD DP552 for a few weeks now, and I’m thoroughly impressed with its performance. The braking power is excellent, and the ceramic heat shield does an amazing job of reducing brake fade even in hot conditions. My only minor complaint is that the installation process was a bit tricky, but overall, it’s been a great addition to my Yamaha model.

I’ve been wondering if there’s any way to make the DP552 even more effective in wet conditions…? It seems like it already handles rain and road spray quite well, but I’d love to know if there are any tips or tricks to get even better performance.

Hi Ethan, Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled that the DP552 is performing well in wet conditions. To get even better performance, we recommend making sure the brake pads are properly seated and the caliper is clean and free of debris. Additionally, using a gentle touch on the brakes can help prevent water from being pushed into the rotor’s cooling fins, which can lead to reduced effectiveness. For more tips on optimizing your DP552’s performance in wet conditions, please feel free to reach out to our customer support team. We’re always happy to help you get the most out of your brake pads.

I was initially hesitant about the price, but after using the DP552 for a while, I can confidently say it’s been worth every cent. The excellent braking performance and durability have saved me from some close calls on the road. One thing I’m curious about is whether there are any plans to release an updated version with even better features?
