The HEPCO&BECKER Permanent Mounted SideCarrier is designed specifically for the Honda CRF 1000 Africa Twin & Adv Sport models from 2018-2019. This sturdy carrier provides a secure attachment point for all standard hard luggage cases from Hepco & Becker, which are fastened using a quick-release mechanism. The aluminum adapter included with each case delivery screws onto the carrier, securing the luggage lock in place. When combined with other rear rack systems, this model-specific carrier offers effective protection against falls and provides a convenient way to carry luggage for riders or passengers.

    I’m not sure if I’d recommend this side carrier to others, as it does make the bike a bit wider and more difficult to park. That being said, it’s been great for carrying my luggage on long trips. The build quality is excellent, and the installation was relatively easy.

While it’s clearly well-made and functional, I’m not convinced that it’s absolutely necessary for my riding style. Perhaps if I were to take longer trips or ride more frequently, I’d see greater value in this product. For now, I’ll keep using my current setup and reassess later. 3.5/5 stars

    I’m not sure if I’d recommend this side carrier to a friend, especially for those who are new to riding. The quick-release mechanism can be tricky to get the hang of, and it took me a few tries to figure out how to attach/detach the Hepco & Becker cases properly. That being said, once you get the hang of it, it’s incredibly secure and convenient.
