I’ve been wondering… do these grips work equally well on wet or dry surfaces? Has anyone tried them in a non-muddy environment?

While they are specifically designed to provide traction on wet or muddy surfaces, many of our customers have reported that they also work well on dry surfaces, such as dirt trails or pavement. Of course, the grip may not be as pronounced on dry surfaces, but it can still help prevent slipping or loss of control. As for using them in a non-muddy environment, some riders have used them on wet roads or after a rainstorm and found them to be effective in improving their grip. We’ve also had reports of riders using them on hard-packed dirt trails where the surface is dry but loose. What’s the most effective way to clean and maintain these grips? Do they need special cleaning products or can I just use soap and water?

You can definitely use soap and water to clean the grips – just make sure to rinse them thoroughly to prevent any dirt or debris from getting stuck. As for special cleaning products, it’s not necessary but a mild detergent specifically designed for cleaning bike parts might be helpful in removing stubborn dirt. We recommend avoiding harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the grips’ surface. Simply wipe them down with a soft cloth and let them air dry. I’m not sure if I’d recommend these grips for everyday use, but they’re definitely a lifesaver on muddy trails! The only minor issue is that they can be a bit finicky to install, but once you get the hang of it, it’s smooth sailing.
