Made from steel tube and custom-made laser parts with reinforced stressed areas, these carriers have been praised by trade magazines. Installation and removal take mere seconds, thanks to the lock-it screws that only require a quarter turn adjustment. Optional anti-theft protection is available through Lock-it screws (item number: 151050). The side cases are secured using quick-release fasteners on the carrier, which typically come with aluminum adapters (item number: 700114) attached to the rear right and left of the carrier.

What’s with the weird design choices? The Lock-it screws look like they were inspired by medieval torture devices! Seriously though, it works flawlessly and installation is a snap. My only concern is that the carrier might be prone to rust if not cleaned regularly.
